Hausbirds

Since childhood, birds have always been a particular source of fascination for me, and I suppose even a little bit of envy too. Unconstrained by borders, unhindered by gravity and unlimited in their diversification, for me they epitomise the very essence of true freedom.
The Hausbird collection was my tribute to these beautiful creatures. Created with a minimal but beautiful aesthetic, each was different to the last. Each had its own issue number and was signed and numbered by hand on the oak block base on which they stand.
There are now over 300 in homes all over the globe, a fact of which I am really proud.
I no longer make the Hausbirds as a main activity since my work diversified and it became impossible to focus solely on these. That is not to say they won't reappear sometime in the future..
